About the Journal

MEMAS is an open access academic journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and research in Medieval Studies. It is a biannual (two issues per year) double-blind peer-reviewed journal providing interdisciplinary research on medieval and early modern history and culture, and serving as a major scholarly outlet for Armenian Studies. The journal promotes an international perspective reflected in its editorial board whose members come from a range of research institutions and universities worldwide.

MEMAS will feature a variety of Humanities topics, including but not limited to Source Study, History, Theology, Manuscript Studies, Philology, and Art from the 5th century to the 18th century, and accepts articles in English, French, German, and Italian.

We particularly invite studies of wide-ranging connectivity to overcome disciplinary boundaries, regional limits and national research traditions in Medieval Studies, to open up new spaces for discussion, and to help develop global perspectives.

We look forward to welcoming new authors and readers to this journal and aiding in the sharing of knowledge and ideas.
